NTEM Trip Ends - Production / attraction
Back to Resource HubWhat is it?
A dataset showing where trips start (productions) and end (attractions) across different areas. It uses NTEM data from the Department for Transport to show how many trips are generated and drawn to each zone across a range of journey purposes.
How is it useful?
Use it to understand how demand is distributed across places. It helps you build and validate transport models, apply TAG-aligned growth, and develop robust forecasts. You can use it to test future scenarios and support planning decisions, providing a consistent evidence base for analysis, local plans and business cases.

Limitations
As the data is based on the output of TfNs strategic highway model (NoHAM) the trip numbers are unlikely to be accurate at the local level.
