A dataset showing where homes have driveways, based on a TfN and Ordnance Survey object detection model. It identifies driveway presence at household level across the area.
How is it useful?
Use it to understand where residents are less likely to have off-street parking. It helps you identify areas that may depend on on-street charging, target public chargepoint rollout, and plan EV infrastructure where it is most needed. It can support local planning, investment decisions and evidence for decarbonisation strategies.

Limitations
An object-detection model (a type of AI) and aerial photography is used to produce this data. While testing indicates good performance overall, there will be edge cases where the model is inaccurate. Feedback is welcome from users on areas locations that this data could be improved.
