Calibrated Travel Demand Matrices
Back to Resource HubWhat is it?
A dataset showing how people travel across Great Britain using calibrated demand matrices from TfN’s NoHAM model. It maps trips between origins and destinations and shows how journeys are distributed across the strategic network.
How is it useful?
Use it to understand travel demand between areas and how movement is spread across the network. It supports high-level modelling, scenario testing and network analysis. It is most suited to strategic planning rather than detailed local use, helping you test assumptions and assess impacts at a wider scale.

Limitations
As the data is based on the output of TfNs strategic highway model (NoHAM) the trip numbers are unlikely to be accurate at the local level
