Common Analytical Framework (CAF) NTEM

What is it?
CAF NTEM is a Python tool that makes it easier to use data from the National Trip End Model (NTEM), the Department for Transport’s model for forecasting travel demand up to 2051. It allows users to query NTEM data and extract planning, trip end and car ownership datasets through a command‑line interface or Python API.

How is it useful?
It helps analysts and planners work more efficiently with official DfT data, improving consistency and transparency in forecasting and appraisal. Use it to support multi‑modal analysis and develop robust evidence for modelling and business cases.
